Kamasi Washington (Saxophonist) is a Pomona Juneteenth Jazz favorite with a talented history who has worked with a variety of music artists ranging from Lauryn Hill, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg,and Mos Def, as well as jazz legends Kenny Burrell, McCoy Turner, Dianne Reeves and the Gerald Wilson Orchestra. His talent has been featured in productions such as the Playboy Jazz Festival, The Tonight Show, and Last Call with Carson Daly. Kamasi Washington and The Next Step collectively is a young, energetic group with an infectious sound of straight ahead jazz fusion.

Demar Douglas - Painter of Dreams

Live Art Exhibit for our Arts Festival feature from 2012 Pomona Valley Family Juneteenth Jazz & Arts Festival Artist Demar Douglas! Demar Douglas will be doing a live art piece at the Festival, creating a one of kind piece with his talent in stylized abstract surrealism painting. Demar is a budding local artist, having done many live art pieces for celebrities including hip-hop artists W.C., SugaFree, and Kurupt and a live art piece at the Museum of Tolerance. He was recently a special guest on The Michael Colyar Show, featured in CBS News Eye on the Desert and studies under famed artist Charles Bibbs.
