(San Bernardino, Calif.) New Year's Eve has always been a time for looking back at the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want or need to make and resolve to follow through on those changes.
If educational pursuits are part of your New Year’s resolutions, don’t let the everyday chaos called life get in the way. Argosy University/Inland Empire can show you how to fit education into your busy schedule.
Join Argosy University for a New Year’s Open House on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 at the campus, 636 E. Brier Dr., Ste. 235, San Bernardino. Learn how the university can help you develop a personalized education plan, with a schedule tailor-made to meet your needs.
“Whether you want a classroom experience, online or a blended format of online and classroom, we are flexible,” said Dr. Darren Adamson, campus director. “We don’t want the demands of your life to prevent you from reaching all of your educational goals.”
Many people set New Year's resolutions but few of us keep them. In an article "If at First You Don't Succeed" by Janet Polivey and C.P. Herman, statistics show:
• 25% of New Year's resolutions will be abandoned in the first 15 weeks
• On average, people make the same New Year’s resolution 10 times
• Those who manage to keep a resolution six months or more have often tried five or six times before finally succeeding.
“The most important element to making a successful resolution is to set goals.,” Adamson said. “That is where Argosy University can help. Within a few months, when most people have abandoned their New Year’s resolutions you will have completed two to four courses and be well on your way to academic success.”

ARGOSY UNIVERSITY/INLAND EMPIRE TO OFFER DAY CLASSES
ARGOSY UNIVERSITY/INLAND EMPIRE TO OFFER DAY CLASSES
(San Bernardino, Calif. – Dec. 12, 2006) – Argosy University/Inland Empire will begin offering daytime classes in March 2007.
“We offer a variety of classes to working adults who are usually employed in professions requiring evening classes to fit into their quest for advanced learning,“ said Darren Adamson, Ph.D. campus director. “Since opening our campus this past year, we have been approached by students asking if the university would offer day classes for those that work in the evenings. Particularly, more traditional college students prefer to go to class during the day and having their evenings free.”
In addition to the traditional college students who prefer to pursue their degree during the day, many college-educated parents temporarily leave the work force to care for young children. Instead of going straight back to work when the children start school, they may want to first seek an advanced degree.
“With day classes, we will provide a valuable option to these parents who want to take classes during the day, just as their children do, and be home with them in the evening,” Adamson said. “Our schedule will even allow them to attend their university course and volunteer in their children’s classrooms on other days.”
Also, people working in professions such as law enforcement or hospitality might have to work evening hours, but be free during the day. They too would benefit from our daytime schedule.
“We really want anyone who has a desire to obtain an advanced degree, or to complete a bachelor’s degree in psychology or business administration, to be able to come to Argosy University/Inland Empire,” Adamson said. “We offer courses taught by instructors who have a wealth of experience in their fields, and they bring both passion and hands-on practical experience to the classroom.”
Argosy University/Inland Empire specializes in education, psychology and business. However, the courses offered are of benefit to most professions. Currently, the university offers the following degree programs:
The College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences
Doctor of Education (EdD) in Counseling Psychology
Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology
Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling Psychology
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (BA) (Degree Completion Program)
The College of Business and Information Technology
Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with six optional areas of concentration.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) with seven optional areas of concentration.
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BA) (Degree Completion Program)
The College of Education and Human Development
Doctor of Education (EdD) in Community College Executive Leadership with two optional areas of concentration.
